I knew a personal training session would concentrate on my fitness and ability, as I wasn’t able to run even up the road without becoming out of breath. “I had always wanted to run a half marathon before the age of 60, and so at 58 I thought I better start training for it before it was too late! I was a bit nervous to start with as my fitness levels weren’t that great and I was worried I would injure myself, but once I met Matt all my worries went. We worked at my own pace and slowly progressed into longer and longer runs. After 11 months training, and aged 59, I completed my first, and only, half marathon!”
