We had a lovely penultimate day of cycling today. Starting off near Invergary we cycled through yet more stunning scenery full of lush green hills/mountains and along Loch Oich before reaching Loch Ness.
We looked for a while but couldn’t see any monsters and so carried on pedalling our way towards Drumnadrochit where a 900 foot climb at a gradient of about 30% awaited us. It burned is all I will say on that!
Another 30 miles later we found ourselves cycling across a wonderfully smooth and peaceful road through woods and fields to Tain- our stop for the night.
An amazing tail wind helped us keep a good pace cruising at around 24mph on the last stretch so we’re hoping this stays with us for our 110miles tomorrow to JOHN O’GROATS!!
A quick brag- I achieved my fastest downhill today- 44.1mph. Get in!
So John O’Groats tomorrow- OUR LAST DAY!!
