(I’m finding it hard to upload photos onto this so ill try again later)

Well we made it Tavistock…bloody exhausted!!

90.8 miles in 6 hours and 50 minutes actual cycling time.

It was an extremely tough first day and one of the toughest out if the whole 10 days I think. We were going up and down hills all day long. And after hot shower, a cold bath and the a hot bath my legs are still killing me.

On the other hand we also went through some of the most beautiful countryside.

We started nice and easy from lands end to Penzance on lovely quite roads and the day got tougher and tougher from there.

Stats for the day-
90.8 miles
Highest climb-800 feet
Average speed- a slow 13.2 miles
Max speed- a quick 42.8mph (after a very steep hill)
Average Calories Burnt- A very moderate estimate of 4,500.
All the hills included we climbed- 6500 feet
Some towns we went through- Lands End, Penzance, Redruth, Truro, St Austell, Lostwiethiel, Liskeard and Tavistock.

Tomorrow we cycle through Dartmoore and have a 1550 foot climb to start with. It gets a bit easier from there….we hope!!
